Our Mission is to Enhance the Community, Assist the artist, Contribute to the Revitalization of Downtown Wilmington. To Preserve Wilmington’s commercial landmarks. To increase the livelihood of local artists and provide a place to create and display all types of art.
ABOUT US
The ArtWorks is an art village, fostering a creative environment for artists, educational opportunities, and enhancing the community through art. The 7K square feet gallery gives artists a place to show their work, the community an opportunity to admire and purchase fine art, and a venue to host private events. Studios are constructed to resident artists’ needs, such as work space and individual galleries where they can make their art available to the public. Also available to artists and the community are meeting rooms and a classroom. On the near horizon is a coffee shop, but free WiFi is already here. We’re excited to open this new art village to the Wilmington Community and look forward to seeing you there.
HISTORY
It once housed the thriving Block Shirt factory, then the manufacturing of plastic plumbing, and most recentlyantique cars. But now this historic building is fast becoming one of Wilmington, North Carolina’s premier art villages. Follow us and watch the transformation.
