The Roasted Bookery

Founded in June 2022 as a mobile shop, The Roasted Bookery is a Wilmington, NC bookstore specializing in literature that celebrates diversity. Moving to the historic Castle Street District in November 2024, TRB curates a selection of affordable books and gifts by BIPOC, API, and LGBTQIA+ creators, ensuring a rich tapestry of voices and narratives for all. TRB has launched coffee and tea service to accompany our books and free wi-fi. Following the mantra that we are a bookstore that offers coffee (rather than being a coffee house with books), we offer a simple selection of hot/cold brew coffees, teas and hot chocolate for you to enjoy. We’ve recently partnered with local black-owned bakery, Cake Man’s Bakes, to offer pastries and cookies.
